Colin Matheson Pavilion

Colin Matheson Pavilion is one of Hedland’s newest community facilities. It is located in Port Hedland and has an elevated balcony area overlooking Colin Matheson Oval and Cooke Point. The facility is air conditioned and a large number of windows provide natural lighting. The pavilion is suitable for many activities including conferences, personal training and group fitness classes, local hobby groups, social gatherings and school and youth groups. The commercial bar and kitchen contain fridges, a stove and oven, microwave and preparation area. The facility has access for people with disabilities including a lift as well as accessible toilets.

Fees and Charges: Standard Fees and Charges apply to hire the ToPH’s venues and facilities - the current fees can be viewed in the Schedule of Fees and Charges.  ToPH can only make payment towards hire via donations. Please consult the ToPH’s Donations Policy for more information.

Application Form Submission: Please complete and submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the event. Please note that applications for large events (50 + persons) are to be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the event to ensure sufficient time for processing.

Floor Space: Large Meeting/Function Room: 66.4m 10.4m x 6.4 metres

Outdoor Entertainment Area: Undercover outdoor patio and a balcony 2m x 10m

Power Access: Power points in the main hall and kitchen

Toilets: 2 Female and 2 Male toilet/change rooms blocks as well as 1 disabled block

Kitchen: 1 electric oven/grill, 1 exhaust fan, 1 two door fridge, 1 microwave, ample bench space, serving window to exterior, 1 dual sink and 1 cupboard/pantry

Settings: 12 round tables and 100 chairs provided. All setting is temporary.

Capacity: 160 people Maximum

Parking: onsite car parking

Waste removal Is the responsibility of the hirer, TOPH do not supply additional rubbish bins for casual events and this must be organised externally. A bin number calculation can be found in the Events Toolkit.
