I have excess waste I need to get rid of. Are you still doing kerbside collection and is South Hedland Landfill still open?
What happens now?

The Town will continue to monitor the situation with updates and advice from Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

Where can I get sandbags?
Sand to fill the sandbags is available at the three locations below:

JD Hardie Youth and Community Centre, Cottier Drive, South Hedland.

Dreamers Corner, Hamilton Road, South Hedland.

Standpipe on Cooke Point Drive, Port Hedland.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
What happens if we go into the next phase?

IF we go into 'WATCH AND ACT', all Town of Port Hedland facilities will close immediately, including 24/7 facilities, with the exception of the below:

All kerbside waste collections will also pause immediately.

The Town will provide an update via Facebook and another email should the status change.

If you have a booking at a Council facility, including club training and fixtures, these will be cancelled.
