Experience Family Fun at this Year's #NWF Sundowner
9am AWST Friday 19 July 2019
There's nothing better than enjoying family entertainment in the picturesque Civic Centre Gardens, and this year we've got fantastic live entertainment lined up to suit all ages on 25 August.
Ash Grunwald is going to bring his smooth blues sounds to the stage, a one-man band who belts out his songs on guitar and stomp box at festivals around the country.
Many of his songs deal with subjects like escaping from the big city and spending time with nature, a passion of Ash's and he even has a song thanking a pod of dolphins for saving him from a shark!
We've also got the folk rock royalty Pierce Brothers, who've gone from busking on the streets of Melbourne to touring the world.
They've established themselves as figureheads in the folk, blues and roots community throughout Australia, and now it's time for Hedland to hear them live for themselves.
We're going to be putting the spotlight on local Pilbara acts who make up the rich artistic tapestry of our region, as well as roving performers and food vans for the whole family to enjoy!
Redhook Unveil New Single Only Bones
9am AWST Tuesday 9 July 2019
Sydney based renegade band Redhook have released their new single Only Bones, an anthem for anyone who has been taken advantage of.
Music Feeds has described the new single as a sonically diverse cut from the four piece group, combining multiple genres from rap-rock to eletro-pop.
Group singer Mack told Music Feeds that the song is her "venting (her) frustrations at the bloodsuckers in our lives who don't care if we're OK or not as long as we give them what they want."
"It's for anyone who's ever felt taken advantage of and wished they could be stronger."
