Have your say on the future of planning and development

The Town of Port Hedland held a series of consultation sessions last week to gather feedback from the public and other stakeholders on the review of the town’s Local Planning Scheme.

Following these sessions, the Town is showcasing a series of snapshots and hosting a survey for those who missed out to provide their input.

The sessions and the survey are part of an extensive review of the future of town planning and land use within the Town of Port Hedland.

The review will take into consideration all parcels of land in the Port Hedland Local Government Area, excluding the West End precinct, which is subject to Improvement Plan 50.

The information gathered at the consultation sessions and through the survey will inform both the draft local planning strategy and scheme, which will be made public in early 2020.

For those who missed out, the precinct snapshots are available at https://www.porthedland.wa.gov.au where a short survey can be completed for those who want to leave their comments.

The survey closes on 13 December.
