All children under 12 will have free access to both South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre between 21 September 2024 and 27 April 2025.
Gratwick Aquatic Centre, which operates seasonally, will reopen for the season on September 21.
Patrons are reminded that Standard Conditions of Entry, and the Town's Watch Around Water Policy applies.
All children under 12 years must be supervised by a Responsible Adult at all times.
Mayor Peter Carter said the Town wanted to provide a free way for young ones to cool off during the Pilbara Summer.
Hedland Splash is an initiative by the Town of Port Hedland to provide a free way for young children to cool off during the school holidays, while encouraging greater participation in aquatic activities across the community and the promoting safe water practices.
