The 2023 YACWA Youth Awards celebrate the contributions of young people who show outstanding dedication to making a positive change in their community and recognises their leadership and accomplishments.
Nominations are open for the following categories:
- Minister for Youth's Most Outstanding Youth Worker Award;
- Commissioner for Children and Young People Participate Award;
- Positive Achievement Award;
- Edith Cowan University Community Leadership Award;
- Creative Contribution Award;
- The Y WA Collective Action Award;
- Youth Focus Sector Collaboration Award;
- Youth Futures Innovation for a Sustainable Future Award;
- Mission Australia Young Changemaker Award; and
- The Charmaine Dragun Memorial Award
Nominations close Friday 15 September.

- A WA Young Person of the Year award will be selected from those categories which honour individuals.
- Category winners receive a $1,000 prize, with the WA Young Person of the Year to receive a $10,000 travel bursary to participate in youth-related events and activities across WA, in addition to a personal travel prize valued at $3,000.
- Nominations close on Friday 15 September 2023, with winners to be announced at the 24th WA Youth Awards on Friday 27 October at the WA museum, Boola Bardip.
- The awards are a partnership between the Department of Communities and the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia
