Bubbles not Balloons
“Levels of plastic pollution in the marine environment have rapidly increased in recent years impacting all levels of the marine ecosystem with potentially devastating consequences.”
State of the Marine and Coastal Environment 2021 Report
Balloons have been identified as one of the most lethal forms of litter to Australian marine wildlife and are particularly deadly when ingested by Australian seabirds.
In 2017, Zoos Victoria and Phillip Island Nature Park established the When Balloons Fly, Seabirds Die campaign. It encourages the community to blow bubbles rather than use balloons at outdoor events.
Learn more here:

The Hedland Youth Advisory Council will be running an interactive giant bubble making activity to support increased awareness of how individuals, families and communities can use bubbles to help protect Australian marine life.
Come join in on the giant bubble fun and help save our oceans!

We are excited to announce that the Krui3ers will be opening the
Spoilbank Marina Celebration!
The Krui3ers musical style is high energy country rock combined with melodic chorus lines and distinctive guitar riffs.
The 3 in The Krui3ers represents the three tribes in the Mowanjum Community - Worrorra, Ngarynin and Wunumbal.
