Let’s celebrate Hedland’s sporting legends!
Sport plays such an important role in small communities like ours, providing social connections as well as health and wellbeing outcomes. The Community Sports Awards recognise the talent, ambition and contribution of individuals and groups from across Hedland.
2024 Award Winners
Hedland’s brightest sporting talents were celebrated at the 2024 Town of Port Hedland and BHP Community Sports Awards on Friday night. A record number of more than 90 entries were received for the nine categories, with winners announced at a gala event at Rays which featured special guest speaker, three-time Olympic hockey player Jane Claxton.
