Works are still ongoing at Cemetery Beach Park to rectify the damage that occurred following Tropical Cyclone Veronica in March.
The seawall is being rebuilt, while turf works have begun and, as reported last week, the tender for the rebuild of the playground has been awarded.
While access has remained open for the park, the playground and some walkways have been closed from the public.
From Tuesday October 8, the park will be fully closed for a week to allow for the heavy machinery on site for the turf remedial works.
