Please note that Water Corporation is upgrading hydrants and valves in Port Hedland and South Hedland to improve the security and reliability of the distribution network in the town.
This essential work will replace aging infrastructure to help prevent leaks and breaks, and ensure hydrants comply with current fire management standards.
This work will help to reduce the number of customers affected by water supply interruptions if pipes fail as it will enable Water Corporation to isolate the network in small sections.
Work will take place from September – December 2023.
Customers may experience an increase in activity and noise near their property. If a temporary water supply interruption is required, written notification will be provided at least 48 hours prior.
